Walk of Faith - Next Steps
In 2007 Riverwood developed a plan, a Walk of Faith to guide our ministries over the three-year period of 2008-2010. Our Walk of Faith was developed through continued prayer and dialogue with the community of Riverwood to pursue our mission of making disciples who Worship God, Love People, and Reflect Christ.
The purpose of these pages is to introduce you to Riverwood’s Next Steps. These initiatives will be our main priorities over the three years 2011 through 2013. As the name implies, they are a continuation of the Walk of Faith. Yet these initiatives are more than just an extension; they are designed to build upon the results we have seen in our collective walk to this point.
As God continues to lead, we endeavor to continue to follow. It is our desire that through these Next Steps we may prove and experience him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us (cf. Ephesians 3).
Here you will find three initiatives stated. In each case the initiative will be followed by an explanation of how it is a Next Step of our initial Walk of Faith, descriptions of what we expect the initiative will accomplish, how it will be measured, and finally (and certainly the most significant) biblical references designed to show how these priorities find their anchor in the Scriptures.
