A Beautiful World
A Beautiful World

The works I have selected best display my strong points in photography. I enjoy viewing landscapes and driving by scenery, however I usually end up turning the car back around to take a picture. I believe the works I have selected each show a quality of landscape photography in its own way. I hope people will react to the photos I selected with wide eyes, observing the detail in each photo and taking in more than what meets the eye. Maybe think of a little story that could go with the picture, one that would fit either the title or the scene. I would hope people do not recoil when they see my photos, but rather get closer to scrutinize on details, and perhaps even criticize. Constructive criticism is a vital part in doing well with photography, you have to learn how to take it and then apply it to your works.
Art does play a role in my life: it teaches me how to look at certain sights with the right eye and the right perspective, and shows me the way to take a photograph. Art helps me express what I feel, or express the mood I am currently in. Specifically, landscapes are a more general feeling, and can be observed through many different viewpoints. I currently take a college course on 2D Design Photography, so art plays a role in my education, teaching me the elements and principles of design. It also leads me to be a more creative person when viewing certain things that usually end up with a picture being snapped. Not only do I see the beauty in the photos themselves, but I witness God’s perfection in the making of this world. I hope everyone else viewing the photos also see what God has done for us to make this a gorgeous world.
