Kairos Prison Ministry
The Mission Statement of Kairos Prison Ministry is to bring Christ's love and forgiveness to all incarcerated individuals, their families and those who work with them and to assist in the transition of becoming a productive citizen.
Trained volunteer teams of men and women will give select prisoners a special time to know and follow Christ during an introductory weekend, described as a "short course in Christianity" which takes place at the Trumbull County maximum security prison two weekends per year.
If you would like to be involved - two dozen cookies are given on those weekends to every inmate. With 1300 inmates that calculates into 6,000 dozen or 72,000 cookies. Riverwood's challenge is to supply 130 dozen.
