International Friendship Connections (IFC)

International Friendship Connections is a group of volunteers from nine local churches.  Our mission is to reach out to the international students in our area and provide comfort, hospitality, and kindness through of variety of services.

Volunteers reach out to students through these activities and services:

SHOPPING CARPOOL - Once a month scheduled shopping trips to local stores.

HOSPITALITY - Students who request it are matched with American volunteers who include them in their family experiences and traditions (aka Host Families).

HOLIDAY PARTIES - Students experience American holidays and traditions through IFC and family sponsored dinners and parties.

SIGHT SEEING - Niagara Falls, Hale Farm and Village, Amish Country, Cleveland’s Museums, canoe trips...All this and more!

CONVERSATION CORNERS - help students use and understand English; Wednesday afternoons, 1:00 - 2:30 at Riverwood.
